Years of grassroots work by CSEA's LAC members, a major investment of resources by SEIU, and the efforts of coalition unions paid off when a model contract reform law for the country was passed here in Connecticut! Our Legislative Action Committee (LAC) members propose, discuss, and debate our Local union's priority issues to advocate. Members vote to adopt a quality public services agenda for each session of the Connecticut General Assembly, and agree on the national issues to lobby our Congressional delegation to pursue in Washington, DC.

Our Executive Committee approves delegates to our LAC, who are active MPOs able to volunteer the additional time required to serve. Our full LAC typically meets on the first Tuesday of each month at our Local hall in Hartford at 5:15 p.m., and our Council 400 LAC delegates meet the first Wednesday of each month at 10:00 a.m.
