Paraeducators In Our Schools

Evelyn Roman I would like to see equity between paraprofessionals, teachers, nurses, and librarians in all towns in our state. After all, without paras, the Individual Educational Plans would not be followed!

Our CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 members working as paraprofessionals for local school boards across the state provide a variety of valued services. Many of us work directly in the classroom providing one-on-one and group instruction to students and assisting teachers. Many of us specialize in education for students with disabilities. Additionally, many of us provide important safety and supervisory tasks such as monitoring students in cafeterias and on school buses.
