Purpose: The Stafford Board of Selectman have called this special meeting to review a joint municipal/education budget for 2010 - 2011. Members of our Paraprofessional Council's Chapter I51, which represents non-certified workers in the district's schools, are preparing alternative cost savings ideas so proposed service cuts and layoffs in the Board of Education budget won't be necessary.
Action: Bring questions, statements of support for preserving the quality education and support services members our members provide, or simply be present to show solidarity for members who face the potential of cuts.
NOTE: If you wish to speak, sign-up with Union Staff George Gould, and he will have staff help prepare a statement for you to deliver elected officials during public comment, assuming time will be provided in the agenda.
