Preston Board of Education Meeting (Clean Contracting Action)

September 13, 2010, 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM

Preston Veterans Memorial School, 325 Shetucket Turnpike, Preston, CT

Legislative Action

Purpose: The Board of Education may be reviewing steps to move forward on a feasibility study of outsourcing Preston Public Schools' student transportation services. Contracting-out would impact members of Council 760's Chapter I92, which represents school bus drivers employed by the Board, and the students they serve.

Agenda:
Preston school bus drivers, parents, grandparents, other school faculty, and community supporters are urged to speak during Public Comment and demand a full public hearing on the matter if the school board votes to move forward on outsourcing local student bus services.

Action: Come to the meeting to support our members and stand up for Preston students' safe and reliable transportation services. RSVP with Union Staff Rep Kevin Mercik below to sign-up to speak-out, and we can help members prepare their statements.
