Purpose: SEIU and its affiliated organizations in the Change that Works campaign are organizing members to come share their personal healthcare stories with US House Representative Jim Himes (D-4), who is supporting healthcare reforms that include a public insurance plan.
Action: Members should bring a token of their experience with the broken healthcare system, such as:
- a medical bill;
- a denial of insurance or treatment letter; or
- a picture of a loved one affected by a healthcare tragedy.
Agenda: Congressman Himes will share a progress report on passing refrom legislation in Washington, DC, and Union members will share their personal healthcare stories.
