Council 760 Chapters with members working as school paraprofessionals invited to attend first new Council meeting. Agenda includes:

 Election of Council Officers and Delegates for 2-year terms commencing in May, 2008;
 Report-back from the Chapters on our "Walk A Day In My 'Para' Shoes" events with elected officials and political candidates;
 Report-back from the National Resource Center for Paraprofessionals Conference being held in Hartford April 16 through 19;
 Update on efforts to enable local school districts to join the Municipal Employees Health Insurance Program (MEHIP); and
 Report on the legislative initiative to allow local school districts employees to join the State healthcare "pool."

We urge all Chapter Presidents to attend or designate someone to represent each Chapter if they cannot. Chapters that include additional job classes, should designate a paraprofessional to represent the Chapter.
