STATE WORKERS ARE TAXPAYERS, TOO

Thursday, April 16, 2009

The animosity spewed in letter writer Charles Bliss' statement "heads, the taxpayer loses; tails, the state employee unions win" suggests that state employees aren't taxpayers ["No-Lose Situation for Unions," April 11]. State employees' taxes contribute greatly to the state coffers, as does their input in the economy.

It wasn't the unions that brought our country down once again. It was the greed from the top. Be careful what you wish for!
