The labor movement has gained many important protections for the American worker, and one of our union's most critical functions is to enforce our rights on the job. From the right to have a union steward attend discussions that may lead to disciplinary action, to safeguards against self-incrimination, these fundamental protections ensure the opportunity for job security and workplace dignity we believe all workers should enjoy.
