Union Committees & Leadership

For more than 65 years, our Union has fought to establish, protect, and increase the voice of active and retired public service workers. Though we have achieved many important victories, there is still much to be done to restore the middle class and raise standards for all workers in Connecticut. Accomplishing the work that lies ahead is the collective purpose of our Union's Committees.

Our Union President appoints members to each of our various Committees, which all play an important role in building power for our members and for all working families. Committee Chair and member appointment are generally made at the first Executive Council meeting immediately following our biennial convention.

Each Committee establishes its own schedule and format for meetings, which will be posted at the "Events Calendar" as they are available. Information on the specific purpose and responsibilities of many Committees are included in their respective sections of our website, as well.
