Our Convention - One Union, One Voice!
Convention Program, Resolutions, and Resources

Executive Council Members Elected at Our 2008 Convention Gathered Outside Our Union Hall in February, 2009
Our Convention provides an opportunity to reinforce our Union's mission and our members' values, as well as set goals and establish objectives for the next two years. Our plan to become Connecticut's leading voice for public service workers and retirees serves as our guiding principle in setting targets for membership recruitment, leadership development, new organizing, political gains, and community partnerships.
Our members send elected delegates from each our Divisions and Councils to our Convention, held every 2 years, to review our long-term strategies for building power for our members. Our Convention's primary purpose is:
- To elect our Executive Officers and Auditors;
- Amend our Constitution and By-Laws;
- Vote on resolutions submitted to the Convention; and
- Install delegates and alternates to the Executive Council.
Our Union's Executive Council has approved four goals and specific objectives for implementing our Convention's resolutions though June of 2010. The complete "work plan" is linked below, along with several materials prepared for and presented at the Convention.
