Council Members Elected to Provide Guidance and Direction for Fellow Correction Supervisors through 2012
Our members who work for Connecticut's taxpayers each and every day are united for better economic security, for safer workplaces, and for a higher standard of professionalism in the field of criminal justice.
We believe in, and practice, democratic empowerment. Our Council is a member-driven organization, and every member has a vote in the election of our leaders. We are governed by our Council's by-laws and the CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 Constitution.
Member leaders are elected to carry out our Council's agenda and provide the oversight needed to enforce our contract with the State's Department of Correction. Our Council officers also represent us on the CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 Executive Council, assuring our priority issues are included in our union's larger-scale efforts to make Connecticut a great place for all of us to live, work, and raise our families.
