Hartford Court of Common Council Labor & Workforce Development Committee Meeting (Living Wage Action)

Legislative Action
Purpose:
Majority Leader rJo Winch has introduced a resolution empowering the Council's Labor and Workforce Development Committee to investigate Hartford Public Schools' transportation contractors and subcontractors, and determine if they are trying to evade the recently strengthened Living Wage Ordinance. At issue are wages for our Council 760 members who are school bus drivers and monitors in the district.
Agenda:
Council members may seek public comment on the issue, and our members are urged to attend and speak out.
Action:
Members may contact Union Political Director Danny Medress for assistance in making a statement to the Committee if applicable.
