Our P-3A Council

Connecticut's State Education Administrators

Although we work for different agencies, we face common challenges and share common goals. What we need is greater unity for accomplishing our common objectives in increasingly difficult economic times.

Our Council's members deliver a variety of critical education and rehabilitative services to Connecticut taxpayers. We work for the State's Department of Education (SDE), Board of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB), and the Bureau of Rehabilitative Services (BRS), and serve children and adult clients in public schools, training centers, and supportive housing environments across the state.

In September of 2009, our Council reached an agreement with SDE to resolve the institutional grievance filed on behalf of members over delays in the Professional Staff Planning and Evaluation System (PSPES) process. Members who have not finalized their PSPES or have been working without agreed-upon tasks and objectives since July 1 should take the opportunity to compile them in one objective as allowed for in our agreement and discuss with their manager.
