We are over 850 members providing instruction, education, and rehabilitation to children and adults in Connecticut. Our Council was organized to bring State education and rehabilitation professionals together into a single bargaining unit for a powerful voice in improving delivery of vital services to the communities we serve.
Our Council represents State employees in education professions in six Connecticut agencies:
- Board of Education and Services for the Blind (BESB)
- Department of Children and Families (DCF)
- Department of Correction (DOC)
- Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS)
- Department of Developmental Services (DDS)
- Department of Social Services: Bureau of Rehabilitative Services (BRS)
Our Council Officers and stewards meet at least once each month at our Local hall in Hartford to address concerns affecting our members and work on our longer-term agenda issues. Check the "Events Calendar" section by clicking the link in the left hand-hand column for our next scheduled Council meeting.
