Chapter 224 - State DOT Property Agents & Other Professionals
Members Gathered at Department of Transportation Headquarters in Newington
Our Chapter's membership is based at the Department of Transportation's (DOT) Office of Rights of Way, located at the agency's headquarters in Newington. We are approximately 120 strong, and are proud to serve the citizens of Connecticut and work tirelessly to insure that Connecticut's intermodal transportation network is constructed and operated in a safe and efficient manner.
We have grown in recent years and are more diversified among several professional disciplines. We are primarily Real Estate professionals specializing in land titles searching, property appraisals, property acquisitions, post-acquisition property management, and the coordination, funding and implementation of multiple highway projects. Our membership also includes personnel from the department's Office of Central Surveys, transportation engineers from the Bureau of Engineering and Construction, and most recently, transportation planners from the Bureau of Policy and Planning.
We are the dedicated professionals who plan, design, plot and survey, appraise and acquire all of the properties that define the many rights of ways comprising Connecticut's integrated transportation system.
