Our Council's Cost Savings Committee
P-4 Council Cost Savings Committee Members Review Initial Proposals from their Co-Workers for Improving Services and Reducing Expenses in Our Worksites in July 2010
Members of our P-4 Council understand that we deliver vital services that residents and businesses count on -- from highway bridge inspection to drinking water safety to open space preservation to information technology security -- and that we can deliver with greater efficiency. As State employees and taxpayers, we are committed to being part of the solution to the economic crisis that Connecticut's working families have only recently begun to recover from.
In 2010, the Administration of Governor M. Jodi Rell refused to acknowledge initial cost savings ideas proposed through our State Employees Bargaining Agent Coalition (SEBAC). But we believe Governor Dan Malloy shares our view that a "win-win" approach is what will ultimately prevail.
The P-4 Council's Cost Savings Committee's purpose is to advance the efficiency of state government and improve the quality of the services we deliver. We invite you, the front-line public service employee, to present suggestions to create innovations, reduce waste, and lower costs for state taxpayers.
