We know that positive, effective leadership can impact the delivery of the high quality, reliable public services Connecticut’s residents count on. We believe it is critical that State public service workers take a lead role in standing up for the necessary resources to provide high quality services, and act as watchdogs for wasteful private contracts, corporate subsidies, and bureaucratic management.

Members of our approximately 20 individual chapters each choose delegates to represent them at the Council level. We then elect officers and members to serve in other leadership positions to carry out our Council’s agenda and provide the oversight needed to enforce our contract.

Our Council officers also represent us on the CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 Executive Council, assuring our members' priority issues are included in our Union's larger-scale efforts to make Connecticut a great place for all of us to live, work, and raise our families.

At the December 1, 2011 regular monthly meeting, elections were held to fill three vacant council officer positions; President, Vice President and Treasurer. The current P-4 Council Officers and leaders are listed below:
