We know that positive, effective leadership can impact the delivery of the high quality, reliable public services Connecticut’s residents count on. We believe it is critical that State public service workers take a lead role in standing up for the necessary resources to provide high quality services, and act as watchdogs for wasteful private contracts, corporate subsidies, and bureaucratic management.

We elect member leaders to carry out our Council’s agenda and provide the oversight needed to enforce our contract. Our Council officers also represent us on the CSEA/SEIU Local 2001 Executive Council, assuring our priority issues are included in our union’s larger-scale efforts.
